I have been nominated for the 3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge by the lovely Okoto Enigma – make sure you check out her blog here .
The Rules are:
- Three quote for three days.
- Three nominees each day (no repetition).
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Inform the nominees.
I started reading the delightful Eats Shoots and Leaves today and I’m in love with the opening:
A printed banner has appeared on the concourse of a petrol station near to where I lie. “Come inside,” it says, “for CD’s,VIDEO’s, DVD’s and BOOK’s.”
If this satanic sprinkling of redundant apostrophes causes no little gasp of horror or quickening of the pulse, you should probably put this book down now.
What a great introduction!
I’m not going to specify nominees for this challenge, but invite anyone who wants to participate to do so. Let me know in the comments so I can make sure I check out your posts!
Great quote. What an introduction. I hope the book is just as good.

Thanks! Yep, the book was great! I may even use some of the examples on my staff to help them out 🙂

I hate excessive and unnecessary apostrophes! Don’t people learn how to use them in school? 😶
