I spotted this idea over on Lucy’s blog which you should check out if you haven’t done already.

This prompt was created by Lost in a Story to help whittle down your Goodreads list if it’s a little unwieldy. My Goodreads TBR is at 1793 at the moment, so it could definitely use some paring down.

How to play:

• Go to your Goodreads TBR
• Order it as descending by date added
• Look at the first five (or ten if you’re feeling fiesty
• Read the synopsis
• Decide whether to keep it or not.

Thoughts: A female spin on Don Quixote? Hell yeah!

Thoughts: I forgot this was a Sherlock Holmes spin off. Awesome!

Thoughts: I definitely want to read Dorothy Parker. The top review that comes up for me is by La Petite Americaine, which is an absolute rave.

Thoughts: I’m a bit obsessed with Nin. Her diaries are some of the most amazingly beautiful and painful stuff I’ve ever read.

Decision: Keep.

Thoughts: Ah, another Nin biography. This one with a different focus and the author has access to her diary and her surviving husband.

Decision: Keep!

Looks like I’m not great at this game, and I can also see how my TBR is nearly at 1800 books. There are so many good ones out there!
