Hi folks! Oh look, it’s another readathon goal post for 2020!

I spotted this idea over at the lovely Brooklynne’s blog Lost in Literature and given the state of my unread shelves, it sounds like something I really need to do! While I have read a lot this year, about 70% of my reads have been from the library.

The original post is over on The Quiet Pond which has lots of resources (like banners etc) to help you along on your journey. Thank you so much to The Quiet Pond for putting this challenge together, I’m really excited to get started on it.

The rules are:

  1. Join the #Startonyourshelfathon anytime between December 13 2019 and December 31 2020.
  2. To join, you just need to create a blog post, instagram post etc with #Startonyourshelf in the title.
  3. Announce your intentions in your post including your goals and what you plan to read.
  4. Link back to the original post so other folks can find the deets.

My Goals

While I read a lot, I don’t like putting firm numbers on myself, because firm numbers stress me out. Instead I’m going to talk about percentages. I want 70% of the books I read in 2020 to be from my shelves, be they physical or digital. Also, because I read a lot, I’m not actually going to list books here. Instead, here is a photo of one of my TBR shelves. I don’t normally take photos of these because the light in this spot is absolutely terrible. So this is a sample of what I will be reading in 2020. And yes, those babies are double stacked.

See anything that looks good?

This also means I need to get cracking on my library books so they don’t come out of my slim margin for 2020!

What do you think of this challenge? Do you think you’ll join in?
