Hi folks! I had a bit of book mail waiting for me when I got home today, and I was very happy it had turned up before the break. I thought you might like to see it!

After reading Headscarves and Hymens by Mona Eltahawy, I really wanted to read more Arab Feminism. Eltahawy used a quote from the introduction to Harem Years in her book so I figured that was a good place to start. Opening the Gates also seems like a good selection of writings for me to dig my teeth into.

This one piqued my interest when I first saw it on a list from Tor. To be fair all I really needed was “futuristic, Black Panther inspired Nigeria’ to get me on board. This sounds like an amazing and disturbing read.
What have you been reading lately?
Cheers,

That cover for War Girls is gorgeous!
I hope you enjoy reading all of these books, Sue! 💜
