Hi folks! It’s my last post of the year. We made it!
This year has been one of both challenges and opportunities for me. On a personal level, my health this year has been the worst that it has been for a very long time. I’m so grateful that I am entering the new year in a better place.

The forced down time I had when I was ill, meant that I got to really explore bookstagram, and I have met so many wonderful and supportive folks through that medium. I’m so grateful for the encouragement and friendships I have found this year.
I didn’t nail all of my reading challenges, but I did read a total of 250 books. In January I will post some of my favourites from the year – I’ve read a lot of awesome books in 2019.
Most surprisingly, I have nailed the throwaway challenge I gave myself back in late November to post every day until the end of the year. I DID IT! Who knew I can generally find something to say about books and reading.

I will continue to post a lot more regularly in the new year – I feel like I have my rhythm down and I’ll be introducing a newish section each week.
My reading challenges for 2020 get their own seperate page though they may not be finalised just yet – I’ve just found another one that has piqued my interest, and the more the merrier right? I am also really grateful to those who are supporting the Aussies Rule Challenge. It’s great to see folks wanting to read more of our talented Aussie authors.
To summarise my goals are a) to read my own shelves and b) to read fewer straight cis white people.

To close, I hope you and yours have a wonderful and safe new year. My thoughts are with those down south facing the worst bushfire emergency that I can remember in my lifetime, and my deepest sympathies go to those who have lost loved ones during this terrible time.
I’d love to hear your what your plans are for 2020, reading or otherwise.
Cheers,

I absolutely adore your Care Bear figurines! They’re so cute.
I love your goals, Sue. I wish you luck in achieving them! 💜
