AusYABloggers #77 Saturday – The Absolute Book

Hi folks, I hope you’ve had a great week and that you are doing okay with the steaming heat or icy cold depending on where you are reading from!

Here is how to play along with #77Saturday:

  1. Find a book, be it your current read or something lying around,
  2. Turn to page 77, or 77% if you are on an ereader.
  3. Find a snippet you like.
  4. Share it and link back to AusYABloggers.

Today’s snippet is from The Absolute Book by Elizabeth Knox.

“Princes Gate,” said Price. “By the way, no one seems to know where the apostrophe goes. Whether it’s one prince or several.”

“The locals say it’s several, and that they were fairy princes.”

“How quaint,” said Price.

This book was recommended to me by the lovely Brooklyn from Lost in Literature. I am so glad she put me on to it. I am about halfway through it at the moment and I’ve been gripped from the first page. With creepy fey and Seanan McGuire vibes, if you like your fantasy with powerful women, a touch of creepiness and dose of WTF, then this one is for you.

Are you participating in #77Saturday this weekend?

Cheers,
